A Bit About Me
Hi, I’m Zara Kristen Vieira, a South African–Irish professional ballet dancer currently completing my BA (Hons) Ballet Performance at The School of Ballet Theatre UK in partnership with the University of West London. My training and career are built on a deep passion for classical ballet, strong technical foundation, and a commitment to artistic growth.
I am a dedicated ballet artist currently completing her BA (Hons) in Ballet Performance at Ballet Theatre UK.
my training blends strong classical technique with contemporary versatility, supported by experience with the Irish National Youth Ballet, Ballet Boost Associates, and international intensives.
i am passionate about performance, discipline, and continual artistic growth.
Over the years, I’ve trained with respected institutions including Irish National Youth Ballet, Ballet Boost Associate Program, Dirk Badenhorst International Ballet Intensive, and the Val White Bursary Awards Program. These experiences shaped my versatility as a dancer and allowed me to work with a wide range of choreographers, styles, and performance environments.
My performance experience spans classical and contemporary repertoire, with roles across the UK, Ireland, and South Africa. I have appeared with Ballet Theatre UK in productions including A Christmas Carol (2025) and Swan Lake (2024), and performed in Joburg Ballet’s Swan Lake at the Joburg Theatre (2025). My work also includes featured roles such as the Raymonda Act 3 Soloist, contemporary and lyrical pieces including Control and Euphoria, as well as multiple soloist roles with the Irish National Youth Ballet, including Paquita, Schubert Impromptu, and An Chill.
As a dancer, I value musicality, authenticity, and storytelling—merging strong classical technique with an expressive, contemporary sensibility. I’m passionate about exploring the full range of movement, from the precision of traditional repertoire to the creativity of new works.
Thank you for visiting my site. I’m excited to share my journey, artistry, and the productions that continue to inspire my career.
